Tania G. Fowler Interplay Coaching
Tania grew up in San Francisco (that’s right, the actual city) where she had a great time roaming the hilly town and interacting with the diverse crowd of San Franciscans. She went to college at the University of California at Santa Barbara where she received her degree in Geological Sciences. Tania worked with Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas in the early 80’s at the height of the bustling oil industry. She gave it up to become the mother of three sons, thankfully not all at once, but one at a time. After staying home for twelve years and taking care of her precious, if not raucous brood, she received her real estate license and sold real estate for seven years in Sacramento, California, quickly reaching the select level of Masters Club. While selling real estate, she honed her communication, coaching and people skills and decided that she was more interested in helping people realize their dreams than their dream homes.
She began coaching in 2005 after studying with NLP of California (Neuro-linguistic Programming) and CTI (Coaches Training Institute). Since then she has coached with international and well-known business coach, Robert Hargrove of Masterful Coaching, and received an Executive Coaching Certification from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business Executive Education Program. Tania has worked with many individuals and organizations some of which are: Springboard Schools, Seagate Technology, EDS, California Public Utilities Commission, UC Berkeley Haas School of Executive Ed, and Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she has also been qualified as a Myers Briggs Personality Indicator consultant.
Tania has always been drawn to business and the business community and is married to a top executive at a worldwide Information Technology corporation. She believes that business is a critical area for coaching since people spend so much of their lives at work thus bringing their lives to their work. She believes business can only happily sustain itself in the long term if companies recognize their greatest assets lie with the people and talent they consciously choose to work for them. Whether working with businesses or individuals, her focus remains the same; to recognize and stand in the belief that the potential of an organization or an individual is even greater than what you see before you at any given time.
Interplay Coaching focuses on the idea that values, beliefs, commitments, actions and accountability interplay to maximize performance through high impact transformation and creating well-formed outcomes. Tania believes that injecting a playful state, when appropriate, with such serious work, makes the business of transformation much more fun, while bringing a disarming sense of humor along with a thoughtful and direct approach to her coaching.
